Help Turkish People! Supporting CIEAF’s Disaster Relief

I would like to share with you my recent involvement with the Canadian International Education Assistance Foundation’s disaster relief efforts to support victims of the earthquake in southeastern Turkey that occurred on February 6, 2023.

As someone who is passionate about helping others and making a positive impact, I was grateful to be invited to participate in two initiatives launched by the CIEAF, including a disaster relief materials collection and a fundraising dinner event. I brought together 30 volunteers to assist with the collection of new or unused materials, and we were able to gather a significant amount of supplies to be sent to Turkey.

Additionally, I was able to contribute towards the fundraising dinner event, which we raised thousands of dollars towards the grand total of $70,000 to support follow-up disaster relief work.

The CIEAF has a long-standing history of providing aid after large-scale natural disasters, and I am honored to have had the opportunity to be a part of this effort. I am grateful for the invitation to participate and for the opportunity to help those in need.
